An old song
03.15.04 (11:50 am)   [edit]
One day in the year 2000, when Beth Donahue was still at The Buzz, I was cleaning my room. I had a blacklight on, & I was wearing a black bandanna with glow in the dark skulls. I turned on the radio to The Buzz, & this song was on that knocked my socks off. But I only caught the end of it. I always remembered the last couple lines, "What do I do? What do I say? In the end it all goes away." But if ever I searched them on Google, I could never find that song.

But today I found it.

"Sugar" by System of a Down. As soon as I get back to my house, I'm going to download it. Hopefully, it will have the same effect on me.

Helping Mister Wolfman
03.13.04 (12:05 pm)   [edit]
Here is where I plug a local band. Helping Mister Wolfman. I would gladly be their Grundy Street Team because I really like their music. I met these guys for the first time at a football game in South Pittsburg. Or, some of them. And I saw them again at a softball game last night.
check out

hmw.hom.bz

I would burn copies off of the demo & give them to the cool kiddies, but I'm not sure if the band would want that.

Friday Five

2. What were the last two movies you saw? "Rock Star" & "Fifty First Dates"

3. What were the last three things you purchased? a pack of crackers, a condom from a bathroom machine (for kicks & giggles) & a gatorade

4. What four things do you need to do this weekend? sleep, softball practice, clean my room, set up my art station

5. Who are the last five people you talked to? Ashley Myers, Brittany Smith, Chelsea Fults, Jesse Jones, Alex Tabor

Score!!!
03.12.04 (11:07 am)   [edit]
Jesse likes the Modest Mouse CD!!! Or, at least he says so, & that's good enough for me. oO smiles Oo

I wanted to give Dani back her bookie before spring break, because I thought she might want it to work on it in all that spare time, but I'm really not finished. So I get an "F" for Bookie Etiquette.

So what are you guys doing for spring break?

Kicks & Sparkles
03.03.04 (11:14 am)   [edit]
We were playing kickball today, & I kicked the ball into the basketball goal on the opposite side of the gym. Spank spank. I'll probably never be able to do that again.

Man, I'm so sleepy. I was in bed by nine last night. I usually get around eight to ten hours of sleep, & still I'm always sleepy. zzzzzzzzz

Now my hand sparkles :D

Bisextile
02.29.04 (8:36 am)   [edit]
February 29th. A once in a four year happening. Supposedly that's what Bisextile means, but bi means two & sex means six (or what two people do when they love eachother or just love that tingling feeling) & tile...that's those ugly things on our kitchen floor that buckle around the dishwasher & sink because of leakage.

I had an awesome time last night. Bobby & I double dated with Miranda & Tyler. We went to Western Sizzlin to eat, Goodys to try on bikinis (Well, I didn't try on any bikinis) and then to the movies. We saw Fifty First Dates. Well, Bobby & I saw it.

I'm hungry. I hear a bagel calling my name.

Spattered
02.28.04 (6:31 am)   [edit]
I went to the Spattered Camel last night. Paintings were expensive, considering they weren't really that great. Some were very detailed & surely took much time, but few popped out like Whoah!

Damnet, I feel so creative all the time, but right now I feel restricted due to lack of supplies. I have all sorts of clothing designs I want to make reality, but my sewing machine is sooooo old that it hiccups & farts every ten seconds, making the trouble not seem worth it. I hate having to stop & trouble shoot so often. Does anyone have a sewing machine they want to sell? 8)

And I'm running low on paint. It seems my paint has vanished. And I can only find three of my awesome metallic markers. And my gel pens, why can I never keep those together & unlost?

Swing
02.27.04 (2:46 pm)   [edit]
I found some people who are interested in swing dancing, & will actually let me teach them some moves & dance with me!!! Ooooh boy, is that exciting.

Especially when you have your special person, Jared, who picks up on everything & does it very smoothly, & you have your special person, Bobby, who is amusing because he pretends like he's having fun (and wears a triangle bikini top) And you have your special person, Robert, who is so enthusiastic & funny that it tickles me pink.

Heartfelt
02.26.04 (10:11 am)   [edit]
Jealousy is a strange thing. I'm glad I'm not a jealous person.

I'm so happy we don't have school today. And I hope we don't have it tomorrow so Sanders's special Greek Festival has to be postponed. I haven't gotten much accomplished today. I've been eating & working on Danielle's bookie. I keep ripping pages out that I totally finished because I don't like them. Sometimes you have a great idea, but it remains just that because when you try to make it reality, the result doesn't do the idea justice. But sometimes you get something else that turns out just as good or better.

New Picture
02.23.04 (3:43 pm)   [edit]
On my yahoo profile (bakingcakesinsideyoursou l) I have a brand spankin' new picture of me, taken on my birthday. I think I look much different than the pic on my avatar.

I have the material to make my skirt I'm wearing to prom. Some of it came from Wal-Mart, & some of it came from the Hobby Lobby. I got my prom shoes at Charlotte Russe, & I got ribbons to put on them so they wrap around my ankles.

More importantly, I'm learning how to dance. Dance with Bobby, that is. There's a big difference between being able to dance by yourself (which I can't do) & being able to dance with a specific person (I can't do that, either.) But we'll get it down. Otherwise, I'll be on my ass the whole time.

Peeing in a Cup
02.23.04 (11:07 am)   [edit]
I had to take another drug test today. Normally, I would say there's no way in hell I could ever fail, but this morning there were poppy seeds on my bagel. I asked the ladies there if it would show positive for opium, & they laughed & said no, but I was watching the Big Urban Myths Show on MTV, & they tested it out. The drug test did show positive for opium. They should've told us when the drug test would be....well, actually, I guess that wouldn't make sense. But they should've told us when we got to school so certain people (me) didn't take a leak right before they were called in.

Baking Cakes inside Your Soul
02.22.04 (6:33 pm)   [edit]
I had to get a new yahoo account.

bakingcakesinsideyoursoul @yahoo.com

Well I don't know but I've been told he's baking cakes inside our soul.

Stayed awake. Took a nap. Got myself my bottles back. I'm breaking them out on the street. Walkin round in my bare feet. I do not need you to tell me that I am not a cat.

I caught a ride we caught some air he's never gonna cut his hair. It takes more time to make a fake. We night swam down in the lake & washed the dirt off our intentions, praddle on bout bad inventions.

snow fights, pain, melting
02.16.04 (4:41 pm)   [edit]
I was riding Lester down the hill, & I totally wiped out. Not only did he slide out from under me, but it was one of those things that cause you feet to fly up, way over your head. So I crashed head first. That hurt. I was going to go in, & on my way, Bobby pulls in. I had a great time playing in the snow with him. Friends make snow better.

I've had this snow habit for as long as I can remember. After having a nice ride on the sled, & often roll over, watch the sky, & eat handfulls of snow. I've stayed like that for an hour before, at least.

As I watched the snow melt earlier today, I thought about many poetic things. The melting of snow is quite a metaphor for a lot of stuff.

It don't make you do a thing, it just lets you
02.16.04 (8:01 am)   [edit]
Favorite songs of the moment:

"Blasphemous Girl" -My Ruin

"Honey, this mirror isn't big enough for the two of us" -My Chemical Romance

"Sic Trans Gloria" -Brand New

"Heartfelt" -The Butchies

"Calypso" -Spiderbait

This time last year I still had the horrific hair extentions. And I was struggling on my snorocket. I named that thing Lester Pratt, by the way, after a character in a book. Band practice with Short Lived was torturing me every Sunday. I didn't like myself as much as I do now.

Violent raking, hotchocolate, & white stuff
02.15.04 (1:07 pm)   [edit]
When it started sleeting this morning, I said, "Oh boy, this is it!" and I went to the big hill in the backyard & picked up all the sticks & raked the leaves. I love sledding. And snoboarding. We have three plastic sleds, two wooden sleds, a snoboard, a snorocket, a snocircle (the kind you sit on with your legs crossed & spin down a hill) a sno intertube, & two awesome hills. Sledding is much better when you have a friend, though. :( So if anyone wants to "unexpectedly" drop by...please do!

New Ear Candy
02.12.04 (4:37 pm)   [edit]
Songs I downloaded today:

"Mandy" -The Butchies
"Salty Dog" -Floggin Molly (I thought it would be a cover of that old blue grass song, but it wasn't)
"What a Bum Bum" -Lady Saw
"Veins of Glass" -Lacuna Coil
"Shove" -L7
"Universe" & "Freakshow" -Stretch Princess
"Hip Hop Kids" & "Mullet" -Devotchkas
"Ugly Girl" & Devil with the Black Dress On" -Jack off Jill
"Sunshine on my Window" -Spiderbait

Those are some great songs, but my greatest achievement of today was finding my wallet. What a relief.

TV Stained My Memories
02.11.04 (5:31 pm)   [edit]
I wanted to change my avatar, but it looks like I'm stuck with this one because I don't have a pro account. If I misunderstood this, someone please help me.

I bruised the pad of my thumb at softball practice.

"Catch the ball with two hands," they say. "Get behind the ball." "Faster, push." "Don't lob it." "I bet Marion County isn't doing this right now." "Go faster or we'll start all over again." Words you get used to, I guess. I would say it's safe to be leary of anything called a "Burnout" Is leary a word, or did I invent it just now?

I still don't see why long ago people didn't start thinking of ways to conserve energy, fuel, whatever. We're destroying the whole fucking Earth. Soon someone will get enough money to start drilling Alaska.

More housing developments go up, named after the things they replace. So welcome to Minow Brook. And welcome to Shadey Space. Well it all seems a little abrubt. No, I don't like the change of pace.

-Modest Mouse "Novocain Stain"

Softball
02.10.04 (3:10 pm)   [edit]
The first softball practice was today. It was really fun. I kinda forgot how much I like softball. Man, Shaq tried telling me my wrestling shoes didn't have any ankle support. I told him he's crazy. Wrestling shoes are about two inches higher than high tops. You can't get any more ankle support unless you wear titanium socks.

And off went all the jewelry. Seven earrings, two rings, a neclkace, & about twenty five bracelets.

I can't believe today is only Tuesday. It felt like Thursday or Friday. But what makes some days of the week feel like other days of the week, anyway?

Footsteps fall like seconds...
02.07.04 (8:25 am)   [edit]
That's a line from a poem I wrote last night. Before everything went down.

I'm at my dad's house now. I wanted to just stay at home for one weekend so I could play with my toys. Be with my stuff. Work on my artwork & have access to all the cool things I own. Because during the week, I'm too tired & too busy with homework. And the creative juices just flow better on the weekends. Oh well.

I'm dying to get a job. Will anyone tell me about their first job?

02.05.04 (5:12 pm)   [edit]
I'm actually looking forward to Trilakes, however you spell that. Nine hours straight of playing doesn't sound that bad to me. I don't really care what chair I get. Well, last chair doesn't sound too good, but someone has to get it. It's not really a big deal, anyway.

So the news is that mono is spreading around the school. On TV, people get weeks off of school for mono. I thought the symtoms were just feeling really tired, maybe running a fever, but mostly fatigue. But I hear now that puking, diarrhea, sore throat, and all sort of things go with it. Has anyone had it? What are the symtoms?
